Waterlooville is a medium sized town approximately 7-8 miles north of Portsmouth. It’s mostly residential with a busy town centre that hosts weekly and seasonal markets as well as other events throughout the year. The town's shopping precinct has recently undergone a £700,000 facelift and has a wide range of shopping outlets and cafés. It also boasts a swimming pool, residential park with a children’s play area and a library.
The refurbished precinct provides a great spot to enjoy a coffee
Waterlooville is a popular retirement location primarily due to its location and the accessible pedestrianized town centre. History tells us that its name originates from the Battle of Waterloo and the sailors that settled there after the battle. It’s expanding as we speak with new housing estates being built to the West and a brand new Sainsbury’s being built right behind our offices in Aston Road.
The statues at the North end of the precinct reflect the town’s history
Waterlooville has only existed since the early 1800s. Before then it was part of the Forest of Bere spanning from West Sussex to Winchester. Waterlooville is now the host of one of the last remaining parts of the forest. Queens Inclosure is a tranquil, quaint and beautiful protected forest with some of the most beautiful walks in Hampshire
Queens Inclosure is almost magical
